Katie Ott
Harpist Katie Ott “plays with ravishing elegance and élan that is always stylish and deftly articulated.” She began her harp studies at the age of seven with Harriet Moore of DePauw University and spent three summers in residence at Interlochen Music Camp while continuing her studies with Anne Benjamin. Today she holds a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from the University of West Florida.

As an active performer, her playing has been described as having “a shimmering ethereal quality that demonstrates why she is so much in demand along the Gulf Coast.” Katie is principal harpist with many orchestras, plays with chamber and choral groups throughout the southeast region, and is an active member of the American Harp Society. As a soloist, she has performed major works including Debussy’s Sacred and Profane Dances, Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp and Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro.

She and her husband have four children (ages 8yo, 5yo, 3yo and 2yo). She has a deep love of animals and has a Aussiedoodle dog, a rescue cat and 2 Guinea Pigs. Katie is thrilled to join the team at Christ the King as Director of Family Faith Formation. She is looking forward to continuing Children’s Choir while expanding other programs with the children, youth and families of our church and community.
